Man and van carrying out a 2 bedroom flat move in Romford
via IFTTT
We don't normally venture to the East of London - it takes too long (an hour and a half to get from New Malden to Romford leaving at 6.30am) - but this week we had a customer who was moving from there back to our neck of the woods in Wimbledon. After a few hours of loading the moving bags, boxes and furniture out of the flat, to the lift, out of the lift and into the van - a combined walk of 90 metres - in the sweltering heat it was time to head back to South West London.
You don't want to drive through London via the Blackwall Tunnel, Tower Bridge or worse, the Rotherhithe Tunnel. You want to take the M25 via the Dartford Crossing even though it costs £3 per crossing in a 3.5 tonne van it's well worth it. The customer left a few minutes after we did in a motorbike because he had to sweep up the place and we got to Wimbledon at the same time.
It wasn't as painful as I'd anticipated so we might just start going East again. So if you're in the East of London and Essex borders and are looking to move house, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to give you a quote.
